With a degree in Law from the Catholic University of Porto and a post-graduate degree in European Studies from the Universidade Católica of Lisbon and in Commercial Law from the same university, Jaime Esteves is an Executive Training in the Nova Forum from Universidade Nova de Lisboa, INSEAD and IMD.
Between 1990 and 2000 he was a partner in the law firms: Luís M. S. Oliveira e Associados, and Oliveira, Martins, Esteves e Associados. He has been a partner of PwC Portugal since 1999. Between 1999 and 2009, Jaime Esteves headed the tax department of PwC's office in Porto. Jaime Esteves has been in charge of the tax department of PwC Portugal since 2009, with responsibility also in Angola and in Cape Verde.
He is a referee of the Administrative Arbitration Center (CAAD), member of the Board of Directors of the Forum for Competitiveness and Senator of Portugal XXI. Jaimes Esteves is a specialist in national and international corporate tax management (both with national and external groups), including transfer pricing, as well as mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, as well as advice to individuals and their families, including family businesses and family offices.
He is a guest lecturer at several higher education institutions (IPCA, ISAG, PBS, UCP of Lisbon and Porto). Jaime Esteves frequently participates as a speaker in several courses, seminars and conferences related to taxation in Portugal and abroad.
He also collaborates regularly with the media on the same theme.
