Sports and Health

The course aims to promote prevention in the field of health, training specialists in sports and health, able to advise adapted practices in sports, relaxation, or naturopathy, as well as other forms of prevention. The main goal is to train in the field of counseling and setting of practices adapted to health, to prevent diseases and to promote the well-being of people.


Specialized training to improve professional skills in the area of Sports and Health.


This course does not confer an academic degree.

It is possible to apply for isolated modules.

    Coordinator

    Ana Mafalda Reis has a PhD in Medical Sciences, by the Abel Salazar-UP Institute of Biomedical Sciences (ICBAS-UP). She has a specialization in Traditional Chinese Medicine – ICBAS-UP and a Post-graduation in Pain Medicine at Hospital S. João-UP.

    She’s an invited assistant professor at ICBAS-UP and regent curricular unit of Medicine History of the integrated MSc in Medicine of ICBAS-UP. Ana Mafalda Reis is a graduated hospital assistant – Degree of Consultant – of Neuroradiology at Pedro Hispano Hospital – ULS Matosinhos.

    She also works as a researcher for FCT – Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia and she’s an integrated researcher at CEIS XX – Center interdisciplinary studies Coimbra.

    Ana Mafalda Reis is Advisor of specialty interns of Neuroradiology and collaborates in the orientation of interns from other specialties such as neurology and radiology, internal medicine and physiatry. She’s co-advisor of theses of Integrated Master of Medicine (ICBAS), Master of Chinese Medicine (ICBAS) and Biomedical Engineering (FEUP).
